Arun Marco Bertozzi
My name is Arun and I was born in Zürich. I practiced martial arts in the early years and have always had an interest in eastern and western spirituality.
My work as a Psychiatric Nurse gave me the financial opportunity to spend many years in Asia. In 2000 I was introduced to the tradition of Hatha Yoga in Pune India by Yogi Swami Chetan Nisarg. Over the years I was inspired to learn and practice many different styles of yoga (Asthanga, Anusara, Vinyasa and Kundalini Yoga) with various teachers.
I spent several years in India and studied many different Meditation techniques. After years of Practicing Vipassana, Zen and Sufi Meditations I found my way back to the more physically demanding yogas. I taught at a Meditation Resort in Pune and Rishikesh, India. In my classes meditation plays an important role where different spiritual and philosophical themes are integrated.
I offer classes in English and German.

Aurélien discovered Yoga in Brussels training with Iyengar teacher Willy Bok. Since then Yoga became a part of his life on and off the mat. He continued learning and practicing Iyengar Yoga with great yogis such as Jean Lechim, Glenn Ceresoli, Christian Pisano. In 2009 he completed the 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher training in Geneva with Lance Shuler (Inspya Yoga).

Jenny Halbritter
I was born in Zurich in 1979 and started practicing yoga in 2006 due to health reasons. With yoga, I was able to heal completely.
To deepen my daily yoga practice I kept practicing Sivananda style yoga together with my best friends for a few years. Additionally, I attended Valishtha’s yoga classes for more than two years and would occasionally substitute for her as a yoga teacher. The classes I gave added to my joy of yoga and lit in me the wish to become a yoga teacher myself.
Since 2008 I have been teaching yoga. I completed the yoga teacher’s training at Air Yoga. I integrate different forms of yoga and other traditional movement techniques originating from various countries into my yoga classes to give them variety and wholeness.
Sandra Gross
My name is Sandra, and I was born in Germany. I am working in IT business full time at the moment, and live in Zurich. After I did my PhD in 2006, I went to the Sivananda Bahamas Yoga Retreat for one month, not knowing yoga before, and since then loving it. I hadn't read anything about the theory of yoga before, I just dived in, and felt at home. Since then I attend yoga workshops, retreats, and courses regularly. Since 2007 I am a yoga teacher certified by the standard of Yoga Alliance, and currently I am in the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training of Stephen Thomas. I am very grateful for my yoga teachers Sathya Sai Baba, Stephen Thomas, Orit Sen Gupta, and Kadek Suambara.
In addition to Hatha Yoga, I visited the Southwood Healing School in Basel, was initiated in deeksha giving by Kadek Suambara, and consult on detoxification for women (which also works for men) and healthy eating habits.
Surya Afonso
I grew up in Lisbon where I did a MA in Philosophy & Education and a Post graduation in Information Sciences. Further I did a MA in Curatorship and Art critics at Chelsea College, in London. From then on I practiced a variety of yoga styles (Bikram, Iyengar, Vynyasa, Astanga Flow and Kundalini) participating in classes across Europe. With the intention of deepening my Yoga practice and studying the Philosophy of Yoga I decided to live in India in the holy town of Rishikesh, at the foot of the Himalayas. There I dedicated my time to the ancient classical Hindu scriptures and assisted to the lectures of Swami Dharmananda while practicing Hatha Yoga (Iyengar style focused on alignment) with the teacher Surinder Singh. I did a YTT Course at Yoga Vidya, Kerala (certified by Yoga Alliance) studying Raja with Swamiji Yogeshananda and Hatha Yoga with Bhooma Chaitanya. Furhter, I studied Kundalini at Agama Yoga in Leh, Ladakh (50 hours course).
My classes are based on the Integral Yoga: a hatha-yoga practice with emphasis on improving flexibility which I see as a vehicle to vitality and a healthy body. I focus also on the alignment of the body, on correcting body postures and ailments (to overcome individual difficulties accordingly with different body types and structures). Pranayama (breathing exercises) and a short Relaxation (using techniques of Yoga Nidra) make part of the classes.
Welcome to Yoga, welcome to the knowledge of your Self!
